About Me

Hi, I’m Taylor!

Taylor Kimble is an emerging novelist specializing in thriller, horror, and fantasy fiction. As a lifelong lover of language, she explores diverse writing styles with gripping narratives that blend suspense, imagination, rich storytelling, and some tough stuff. Taylor’s published and in-progress pieces include poetry, fan fiction, children’s stories, and short stories.

Currently, she is possessed by her debut dark fantasy adult novel—she has been for five years now! Taylor is eager to complete and publish her beautiful baby but has difficulty disentangling herself from the fantastical world of Celtic mythology and the thwarting reality of a perfectionist. Readers who like eerie suspense, inner darkness, high stakes, and just some good old-fashioned character suffering will LOVE this book. Think… Dean Koontz and Stephen King vibes, Ursula Le Guin and Leigh Bardugo worlds, and dare I (the third-person Taylor) say it… J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter.

Although becoming a published novelist is a lifelong dream for Taylor, she is passionate about helping fellow authors refine their craft. With a bachelor’s degree in literature at UC Santa Cruz, a certificate in Professional Editing at UC Berkeley, and a certificate in Book Coaching at The Write Practice, she is dedicated to the art of storytelling. Her expertise allows her to shape compelling narratives and help budding writers bring their stories to life.

When Taylor is not writing or editing, she enjoys photography, hiking, herbalist studies, collecting antique literary treasures, and (of course) reading. She and her husband of ten years share their home with their two wonderful kitties—Rita Skeeter and Winston Bishop.
