About Me

Taylor Kimble

Taylor Kimble is a budding novelist in the thriller and fantasy genres. Her passion for language drives her craft, often creating a diverse and robust set of work. Her published and in-progress pieces include fan fiction, children’s stories, short stories, and poetry. Currently, she is focused on her first novel for new adult readers of the fantasy and thriller genres. Her favorite writing style stems from her love and absolute admiration for Dean Koontz and his incredible gift for language. One day she hopes to bring the excitement, inspiration, and eerie suspense to her readers that Koontz has brought to her. She is always striving to improve her established skills and develop new ones. For that reason, she continually reaches out to fellow authors for mutual support and enrolls in new writing and editing programs. Her hobbies include photography, herbalist studies, collecting antique classic literature, and (of course) the study and practice of language. She is also the happy cat mama to two wonderful fur babies–Rita Skeeter and Winston Bishop–and the soon-to-be wife to her partner of seven years.

Although becoming a published author is a lifelong dream for Taylor, her main objective is to become an accomplished copyeditor. After graduating from UC Santa Cruz with a bachelor’s degree in literature, Taylor decided to further her education in language. In 2022, she obtained a certificate in the Professional Sequence in Editing program at UC Berkeley Extension. Taylor considers this program to be the most arduous but most rewarding venture that she has experienced. She is excited to utilize her experience and knowledge and is honored to help fellow writers craft their dreams.
